چکیده
Background: There is dyslipidaemia in metabolic syndrome (MetS). Lipid profiles MetS associated with different health conditions may not be obvious. This study investigated lipid type 2 diabetes (DM-MetS), hypertension (HBP-MetS), chronic kidney disease (CKD-MetS) and apparent (AH-MetS). Methods: 540 patients were recruited for this study; 183 T2D, 136 HBP, 84 CKD 137 AH subjects. They outpatients workers the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu. Nigeria. FPG, TC, HDL-C, TG as well anthropometric measurements determined using standard methods. Data analyses done GraphPad Prism version statistical programme. was diagnosed NCEP-ATP 111 criteria Results: Study showed 135 DM, 64 31 52 subjects had MetS, (prevalence rates: 36.9 %, 14.7 18.4 37.9 % respectively). Only 38% hypertriglyceridaemia while 66% MetS. Corresponding figures low HDLC 40, 77%. CKD-MetS higher mean value TC than others; (2.65 ± 0.16 mmol/l; F = 11.4; P =0.0001; 6.07±0.02mmol/l; p 0.001). Variations observed across groups, (p =0.0001). HDL-C highest AH-MetS, (1.51 ±0.07 mmol/l) differed DM-MetS, (1.23 0.04mmol/l, p=0.01) only. Following pattern LDLC lowest among (2.75 0.06 CKD-MetS, (3.65 0.28 mmol/l, =0.001) variations (F 6.35; p= 0.0004). Conclusion: Dyslipidemia profile varied disorders. Presence a strong factor development disorders population.

Lipid Profile and Leptin Levels in Patients with Metabolic Syndrome
Abstract Background and Objective: Metabolic syndrome called a cluster of several metabolic disorders is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. Genetic differences in leptin receptor gene are related with the concentration and activity of leptin in that these discrepancies can influence lipid levels. We aimed to determine the association between the leptin receptor gene p...

BACKGROUND There is limited information on the relationship between metabolic syndrome (MetS) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the Iranian population, a group that has a high prevalence of CKD and obesity. The aim of present study was to determine the relationship between MetS and CKD in West of Iran. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 800 subjects aged more than 35 years admitted from 2011 ...
متن کاملAssociation of Dietary Fat Pattern and Incidence of Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease: Tehran Lipid and Glucose Study
Introduction: Cardiovascular disease (CVD), hypertension (HTN) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) are chronic conditions of recent decades, and dietary intakes play an important role in their prevention. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between dietary fat pattern and incidence of these conditions. Materials and Methods: Participants of the third phase (2006-2008) of the T...
متن کاملThe Lipid Profile Parameter in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients and Correlation with Severity of Disease
Introduction: More than 90% of the deaths caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) occur in the low- and middle -income countries. The main aim of this study was to investigate the lipid profile levels in COPD patients and examine the correlation of total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoproteins, high density lipoproteins, and LDL/HDL risk ratio with COPD stages that a...
متن کاملMetabolic syndrome and chronic kidney disease
Metabolic syndrome and chronic kidney disease (CKD) have become global public health problems due to their increasing prevalence and their close associations with cardiovascular events. First recognised by Reaven [1] in 1988, metabolic syndrome (previously known as syndrome X) is a complex pathophysiological issue and essentially considered as an assembly of cardiovascular and metabolic risk fa...
